To everyone’s surprise, she accidentally summons the ghost of Charles’s first wife, Elvira. Invisible to everyone except Charles, Elvira delights in disrupting his comfortable life with his second wife, Ruth. As misunderstandings, jealousy and supernatural chaos unfold, Charles finds himself caught between the living and the dead in this witty, sparkling comedy showcasing Noël Coward’s trademark humour and clever dialogue. Blithe Spirit premiered in London’s West End in 1941. This production will be based on the 1941 script including all actor directions, lighting and sound cues and showcase many original Art Deco costumes.
