A Celebration in Cast Glass

ASSOCIATED EVENT

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Buick assembly in New Zealand and the 2027 Art Deco Festival, renowned Hawke’s Bay glass artist Lou Mathieson presents selected iconic hood and radiator mascots with an exclusive exhibition celebrating one of the world’s most iconic motor marques. At the heart of the collection is a stunning cast glass interpretation of the iconic 1936 Buick radiator mascot. Strictly limited to just five of these pieces, each sculpture has been individually handcrafted, making this a rare opportunity for collectors and Buick enthusiasts alike. Complementing the feature piece will be a collection of other car and Art Deco inspired glass radiator mascots and figurines.

Exhibition available for viewing from 1 February to 7 March 2027.
